Last year, I attended the TeMa Conference to grow my professional network and to explore companies that are into the supply chain sector. During this Conference is where I met Bas Groenwold, spokesman of AbbVie. That conversation turned out to be the starting point of my internship at AbbVie Logistics Zwolle, where I had the opportunity to work on three projects that had the overarching theme of supply chain resilience.

Throughout my internship, I learned a great deal about the role of resilience in healthcare and why it is so important. I worked on risk management challenges and also had the chance to present my findings to the management, which gave me valuable experience in consultancy.

This internship not only deepened my understanding of resilience in practice but also showed me how valuable it can be when opportunities arise unexpectedly - sometimes from just a single meeting at a Conference.
