The TeMa Conference is a great opportunity to explore different career paths and gain insight into the industries and organizations where students can make an impact. It allows students to connect with professionals and experience how technology, management, and organizational challenges come together in practice.

Last year, I had the opportunity to serve as Chair of the TeMa Conference. Leading the organizing committee was both challenging and rewarding, and I learned a lot about collaboration, leadership, and project management.

Participating in the conference the year before helped me realize that this is the field I wanted to work in. As Chair, I discovered how much I enjoy coordinating projects and working with the committee, board, professors, companies, speakers and other stakeholders. These experiences ultimately led me to start my career as a Junior Project Manager 'Technical Maintenance' at UMCG.

Looking back, the TeMa Conference played an important role in shaping my career path and strengthening my interest in technology and management. It gave me the confidence to take the next step into the working life.
